About the event
AJ is a passionate pro-d facilitator with years of experience leading groups of professionals. His work in the Greater Victoria school district as a Registered Speech Language Pathologist gives him extensive insight into the application of scaffolding tools such as AAC (Alternative &/or Augmentative Communication), modeling, and the use of Core Boards. During the course of this workshop we will explore what communication really is and how we can find a way to overcome barriers presented when introducing new tools to a classroom. He specializes in finding high and low tech solutions to help children access communication and also in the 1:1 training for staff involved with student's learning.
