QUALITY EARLY LEARNING FOR ALL
Before beginning, we would like to put forward a statement to acknowledge the responsibility we have as a non-profit to participate in acts of reconciliation and decolonization. In an effort to recognize the reality of the lands we learn, teach and gather on we must state that they are the traditional and unceded lands of many past, present and future First Nations communities. While we seek to operate all over Vancouver Island, the NPSo office space in particular is located on the unceded traditional territories of the T’Sou-ke and Scia’new Nations. These Nations have a culture and society that long predates the settlement of what is now Canada.
We recognize that we are guests here and seek to open relationships that demonstrate respect and gratitude towards First Nations for their commitment to their lands and unceded territories.
Thank You

The Natural Pedagogy Society was founded to join the community of Educators, Home-schoolers, Childcare providers and Caregivers on Vancouver Island.
From North to South, The Island needs more childcare spaces to serve the families living here. We aim to raise funds to explore a multi faceted approach to supporting children and their caregivers through goals such as the creation of licensed childcare spaces, recreational spaces in our outdoor programming, school age before and after care, family inclusive play groups and educator professional development.
In the years that go forward, we will also strive to build relationships with the Early Childhood Educators, Outdoor ECEs, Classroom support workers and Responsible Adults across our province with quality professional development resources. Eventually, also by creating competitive jobs within our communities through the early years, school age, outdoor and recreational programming created under our umbrella.
The dedicated professionals in our field are at a turning point, we intend to grow alongside them as partners and collaborators.
